This is a lovely oval moss aquamarine cabochon. It's featured in a sterling silver statement ring with a delicate, round sterling shank. It's wonderful to wear and would be perfect for everyday. The "moss" in moss aquamarine comes from iron trace elements that give the stone a moss-like appearance. They're often a greenish-blue with mossy features in a transparent gem body. This one is more on the pale green side. Aquamarine is a birthstone for March babies.
I gave it a fine silver and sterling bezel setting with a slight border, which I textured around the edges. This is soldered onto the sterling band.
• the stone measures about 12mm x 9mm (1/2" x 3/8") and is 6mm (1/4") high
• the band is 2mm (3/32") wide
• the ring is size 6.5
• the silver has a soft patina.
